Swami Anubhavananda talks about depression:- What is depression and how to handle it?
Life is a celebration and not calibration
|
|
|
Swami Anubhavananda: His Mauj Mein Raho audiocassettes obliterates the oft-quoted feeling that Happiness is more a mirage than a reality, it is impractical and best forgotten. He is himself the best example of this state - one who is never perturbed , who under all conditions is in joy .
His lively discourses on The Bhagvad Geeta, The Upanishads, Srimad Bhagvatam, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Panchadasi, Amrutanubhav, Vidyan Bhairav, Vedanta Bhupali, and Tripura Rahasya have endeared him to all his listeners. One of the recently released book is GUIDED MEDITATIONS.
If his books reveal his mastery over the subject , his 2000 hours of audio cassettes brings forward one more facet of his personality a prolific speaker .
Swamiji has been honoured by a doctorate by the INTER CULTURAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NETHERLANDS for his treatise "Chinmayi" - a scholarly commentary on Amrutanubhav of Sant Gyaneshwar.

"Lessons for Life" by Jagan
|
|
|
Jagan (Yoga master in the bay area) shares with us some of the key lessons in life for a better living
|
|
|
|
|
"I have gone from one
end of the country to
the other, without any
prejudice, in a
relentless search after
Truth. Man in this fair
land, watered by the
great Ganges, the
Brahmaputra and the
Jumna is not vile. He
is as much a seeker of
the truth, possibly
more so. .. I tell you
there are many such
Pariah's huts where
you will certainly find
God. They do not
reason, but they persist
in their belief that
GOD IS. They depend
upon God for His
assistance and find it,
too. Vile as some of
them may be, there
are noblest specimens
of humanity in their
midst."
- Mahatma Gandhi on
Seeking the Truth
Just go ahead...
Don't worry that there's not
enough time. Just get started
and go from there.
Don't worry that it won't be
perfect. Just get going and
give it your very best.
Don't be concerned about
what others may think. Just go
ahead and do what you know
is best, what you know is right
for you.
Don't be discouraged when
you encounter obstacles. Just
work your way diligently
through each one.
Don't give up when the first
attempt does not work out.
Just learn from your mistakes
and get going again.
There will always be plenty of
excuses for not taking action,
yet to achieve you must
choose to look beyond those
excuses. Just go ahead and
get it done.
..
Just a little more ...
Genius is only the
power of making
continuous efforts.
The line between
failure and success
is so fine that we
scarcely know
when we pass it: so
fine that we are
often on the line
and do not know it.
How many a man
has thrown up his
hands at a time
when a little more
effort, a little more
patience, would
have achieved
success. As the
tide goes out, so it
comes clear in.
In business,
sometimes,
prospects may
seem darkest when
really they are on
the turn. A little
more persistence,
a little more effort,
and what seemed
hopeless failure
may turn to glorious
success. There is
no failure except in
no longer trying.
There is no defeat
except from within,
no really
insurmountable
barrier save our
own inherent
weakness of
purpose.
-Elbert Hubbard
